Borlase’s Theatre Upgrade – Henley Waitrose Is Supporting Us
Henley Waitrose is supporting the school’s Above and Beyond Fund, theatre upgrade project through their Community Matters scheme. This will be live from yesterday.
As you know, the theatre is used for a fantastic wide range of performances, performing arts and languages examinations. The acoustic qualities need to be improved to match these high standards, alongside new seating for audiences at performances, students’ talks, conferences and meetings. The theatre will also be decorated as part of this project.
If you are in Waitrose, please do remember to support the Borlase Theatre project. Thank you. CB-P
YEAR 10 and YEAR 11: A speaker from BP will be giving a brief talk on Friday (at break time) in A2 about careers in geology and specifically in the oil industry. Patrick Gomersall is a former student who went from Borlase to study geology at Leeds, and is very inspiring.
You are welcome to attend if you have opted to take geology in Yr 12 or are considering doing so. Please be prompt. Mrs Barraclough
There is a mufti day tomorrow in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust. Please donate generously and bring in £2 for tutor time.
YEARS 11 12 & 13: If you are entitled to extra time in your public examinations this summer your extra time cards are ready to collect from reception. Please collect them as soon as possible.
