Great Shows Coming Soon!

I would like to draw your attention to two wonderful evenings of entertainment, for which tickets are now available. All staff are entitled to a free ticket so if you would like one please email me and I will sort you out a complimentary one through Positickets. If you are buying tickets for other people you can do this yourself if you go onto the Positicket website- however if you want a complimentary one for yourself and also tickets for friends/family and you all want to sit together I am afraid that you will have to come and see me with the money as you won’t have access to the complimentary ticket option yourself. I hope this makes sense! I’m sure they will both be wonderful evenings and tickets are already selling quickly!
Tickets are priced £8 for Adults and £4 for Students for both shows.

Senior Concert Thursday 3 April 2014

The programme will feature performances from the Symphony Orchestra, Senior String Orchestra and Concert Band, Jazz Band, Cantorum, Chamber Choir, Gospel Choir, Chapel Choir, and the Borlase Madriguys, as well as chamber music items. Year 13 musicians will also bid us farewell with their much-anticipated leavers’ medley.

Senior Concert Positickets

Last night’s concert beat the autumn Monday blues ..

It may have been cold and wet outside but Lillian Boutte and the Gospel Choir brought a lovely, warm glow into the theatre last night. The New Orleans Ambassador for Music, and celebrated gospel singer had spent the day, supported by her oustanding jazz quartet, leading a workshop for our Gospel Choir. The choir, directed by Beth Potter and Christen Van den Berghe, performed with them last night to a delighted audience. They demonstrated the improvisation skills they had been working on, creating a free and relaxed sound and also proved themselves to be an impressive, disciplined gospel ensemble. The mix of gospel and jazz was very uplifting and everyone enjoyed being asked to sing with them Louis Armstrong’s “It’s a Wonderful World” as an finale.

Thank you to everyone for the organisation, Dr. P, Jenny, Tammy, Aaron B, Aaron M and the FOH and Tech Teams – an of course the choir.

Tag Rugby Refereeing

If you have done some Tag Rugby Refereeing in the past and would like to help at an upcoming festival in November for Year 5&6, then please email Miss Hewitt your name.

Some training will be provided prior to the tournament.  You will need to provide your own whistle.

Many thanks

Homework Club

The homework club is run on a rota basis by the five Learning Mentors, between 3.45 and 5pm every evening in M10U. It provides an ideal opportunity for you to work in an informal but supervised setting with individual support from a member of the LM team.
In the event of the LM being absent, you can remain in the LRC area, but must register in either case. If the library staff are also absent, you can go to reception, and the receptionist will contact a member of staff to supervise you until 5pm, although this won’t necessarily be in the LRC.

Netballers helping with tournament Thurs 10th

The following girls have volunteered to help run a Year 5 & 6 partnership netball tournament this Thursday at Kingsmead in High Wycombe.

Hannah Martin, Izzy Phillips, Rosie Street, Emily Coll, Rachel Ward, Hattie Slater, Zoe Whitehead, Ellie Bilsland & Fleur Tidy.

Any problems drop me an email

Marlow Library Display – 8th October

During the Summer term Year 7 completed a Cross Curricular Dance project in conjunction with the English department. The Pandora’s boxes and some of the Arachnia spiders produced as homework were fabulous and took a huge amount of effort.
We are delighted that from Tuesday 8th October they will be on display in Marlow Library.
